Scottish Creamed Simmered Haddocks Tasty Recipe.
The meat of the Haddock is lean and white, a little less firm than cod and flakes beautifully when cooked. Haddock is an excellent source of dietary protein. It also contains a good deal of vitamin B12, pyridoxine, and selenium, and a healthy balance of sodium and potassium, with very little fat. 100 grams of cooked (dry heat) haddock provides 0.159 grams of omega-3 fatty acids derived from 0.004g of EPA, 0.154g of DHA, and 0.001g of ALA.

- 2 medium-sized fresh Haddock, cleaned and skinned
- Flour
- 1 1/4 cups half milk and half cream
- 1 1/2 ounces butter or margarine
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon made English mustard

How to cook Scottish Creamed Simmered Haddocks:
- Soak the fish for 20 minutes in a salty water. Drain, wipe dry with paper towel.
- Warm the butter in a frying-pan, flour the fish and season them with salt and black pepper.
- Turn them in the butter until coated all over and then add the already mixed cream and milk to the pan.
- Heat until it is just boiling, then reduce the heat so that it barely simmers until the liquid is reduced and the fish cooked and tender.
- Finally, add the made mustard.
- This makes a very good breakfast dish.
